Public Schools in Donna, TX. (86% of new hires rated as having
"acceptable" or "outstanding" performance by school directors after one
semester on the job).
§ Thirty percent increase
in efficiency of the hiring process at Anheuser-Busch’s brewery in
Houston, TX.

Developing highly customized behavioral interviewing guides an
teacher selection tools for University Prep Academy and University Prep
Science & Math in Detroit, MI.
§ Designing and delivering
360 feedback to 87 school directors in the Houston area participating in
the Houston A+ Challenge's New Visions in Leadership Academy, a 2-year
leadership development program funded by the Annenberg Foundation.
§ Developing the "YES Prep
Human Capital Pipeline", a framework for developing and succession
planning based on Ram Charan's book "The Leadership Pipeline: How to Build
the Leadership-Powered Company".
Monica’s background in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
and her experience managing the employment process of a Fortune 500
manufacturing facility, provide her with a unique understanding of both
the academic and corporate perspectives. Her ability to communicate
fluently in written and spoken Spanish, and her first-hand knowledge of
the Hispanic culture allow her to develop instant rapport and strong
working relationships with a wide range of employees at all levels of the
organization.
Monica believes in sound evaluation and research as a
critical step in the organizational development process. She approaches
all of her interventions from the standpoint of improvement and works
diligently to not only deliver results, but also to foster positive
organizational change in the process. In April 2010, Monica presented
"Impacting Teacher Effectiveness at YES Prep Public Schools: A Case Study"
at the 15th Annual Big Five Conference
in Charlotte, N.C. To date, Monica has analyzed the personality profile of
outstanding teachers at 4 successful charter schools across the U.S. Her
ultimate goal is to answer the question of teacher effectiveness from the
standpoint of personality traits.
Monica holds a
Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She
is certified to both administer and interpret the
WorkPlace Big Five Personality Profile™.
She is also a certified coach through Results
Coaching Systems. Her ultimate goals are to answer the question of teacher
effectiveness from the standpoint of personality traits and to support new
